Donation of Equipment

The Centre is very grateful for the generosity of companies that continue to donate equipment to the Technology Demonstration Facility. In 2006-07, the Centre issued an invitation to all drinking water manufacturers and suppliers to donate services and equipment that represents both conventional and advanced technologies currently in use by the drinking water industry. The value of the donations received since the Facility opened on June 19, 2006 exceeds $600,000.

The donated technologies include ozone, UV, and membrane in addition to slow sand filter, monitoring instruments, distribution system parts, storage tank and specialized software.

The Centre expresses its great appreciation to all donors for their generous contributions that added to its trainees' and participants' hands-on learning experience. Drinking water technology demonstration will continue to be an important training resource for operators and the public.
